What We Do
- Brick pointing and full repointing
- Chimney repair, rebuilds, caps, and crowns
- Retaining walls — block, stone, and brick
- Stone and brick veneer
- Structural brick repair and lintel replacement
- Waterproofing and sealing of masonry surfaces
- Foundation parging
Why Pointing Matters More Than It Looks
Mortar joints are your brick wall's weather seal. When they crumble, water gets in, freezes, and starts popping bricks — and by then a $2,000 pointing job has become a $20,000 wall rebuild. If your joints are receding, cracking, or growing plants, it's time.
- Color-matched mortar so repairs disappear
- Proper joint raking — not smeared "buttering" over bad joints
- Correct mortar type for your brick's age (older brick needs softer mortar — hard modern mortar destroys it)
How It Works
- Inspection & free estimate — we photograph problem areas and show you.
- Mortar matching — test patch if needed.
- Rake, repair, repoint — old joints cut out properly, not covered.
- Cleanup & seal — walls washed, optional water repellent.
- Walkthrough — repairs should be hard to find. That's the standard.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my house needs repointing?
Look for receding or cracked mortar joints, white staining (efflorescence), interior damp spots, or loose bricks. Any of those — call us for a free look.
Will the repair match my existing brick?
Yes. We color-match mortar and source matching brick. On older homes we use appropriately soft mortar so the repair doesn't damage historic brick.
Can you fix a leaning retaining wall?
Sometimes it's repairable; often leaning means the wall has failed behind the face and needs a rebuild with proper drainage. We'll tell you straight, with photos.
Do you repair chimneys?
Yes — from crown and cap repairs to full above-roof rebuilds.
Is masonry work seasonal?
Mortar needs above-freezing temperatures to cure properly. We schedule around weather and use cold-weather practices in shoulder seasons — we won't point your wall in a hard freeze just to make a date.
